Native Luiseno Indian Doll

Native Luiseno Indian Doll Native Luiseno Indian Doll

Native American Luiseno doll,  13 inches tall sporting a traditional coiled head cap made from juncus and deergrass gathered, prepared and woven by Luiseno artist Lydia Vassar. His horse tail hair is handsewn  onto a unique  hand stitched body of ultra suede for durability and stuffed with strips of unbleached muslin. His breach clout, knife sheath and tobacco pouch are fashioned from smoke tanned elk skin and hand stitched. He is wearing sandals hand woven from native shredded yucca fiber and boasts an abalone earring from the sands of our local coast.
